Oregon State Women's Swimming fall to San Diego State Saturday

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Oregon State women's swim team fell to San Diego State 150-125 Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex in San Diego Calif. The meet marked the second meet in as many days as the Beavers fell to USC Saturday in Los Angeles.
"It was a good day for us," Oregon State women's swimming head coach Larry Liebowitz said following the meet. "We had good swims by Jenni Dole and Rachel O'Brien today."
Sophomore Rachel O'Brien set a new Aztec Aquaplex record with a time of 2:02.68 in the 200 yard butterfly event. The old record was 2:03.81 by Hannah Caron of Utah set on October 11, 2008. She finished first in the event, recording her first dual meet win of the season. O'Brien also picked up a win in the 500 yard freestyle with her time of 5:05.29.
Junior Jenni Dole turned in a time of 2:03.12 in the 200 yard backstroke Saturday which is tied for the third-best time at the Aztec Aquaplex which was good enough for second place in the event. Dole also posted a time of 57.36 in the 100 yard butterfly for her second dual win of the season.
Rachel Wahl recorded her first dual win of the season when she posted a time of 4:38.79 in the 400 yard individual medley event. Her time ranks eighth all-time at the Aztec Aquaplex.
The Beavers hit the pool when they host the NW Collegiate Relays Saturday, Oct. 9 at Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis. A time has yet to be announced for the event.
