Hall of Fame
The Oregon State University Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1988 in an effort to honor and preserve the memory of those student-athletes, teams, coaches, and members of the athletic staff who have contributed in an outstanding and positive way to the promotion of the Oregon State University athletic and academic program. The Varsity OSU Director shall serve as the Hall of Fame Chair and will thus assume responsibility for its upkeep and preserving.
Eligibility for Individuals
Criteria and qualifications will be based heavily upon the nominees’ participation while attending or serving Oregon State University. Accomplishments after leaving the University may be considered. Individual athletes shall be eligible for the Hall of Fame by completing their eligibility at least ten (10) years prior to induction, earned two Varsity ‘O’ letters, no longer competing professionally, and achieved any of the following:
Teams, Coaches, Athletic Administrator, or Staff Member shall be eligible for the Hall of Fame by achieving any of the following (ten year waiting period after the Hall of Fame qualifications have been achieved):
To make a nomination please include name or team, sport, years of competition, and a maximum 500 word letter describing the merits of the candidate or team. Please submit to Alexis Serna, Director of Varsity OSU at alexis.serna@oregonstate.edu.

Eligibility for Individuals

- Olympic Medalist – Individual or Team Sport
- National Olympic Team Member
- World Record Holder: Recognized National Federation Mark
- Country’s Record Holder: Recognized National Federation Mark
- NCAA First Team All-American (Freshman included) in the “primary” recognized poll – Team Sports (Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing, Soccer, Softball, Track and Field, Wrestling, and Volleyball)
- NCAA Champion – Individual Sports (Cross Country, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming and Diving, Track and Field, and Wrestling)
- Conference or NCAA Champion – Individual Sports (Cross Country, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming and Diving, Track and Field and Wrestling)
- First round draft pick
- Selection to a National Hall of Fame for their sport or Conference Hall of Honor
- The records of the person considered should be so outstanding that there would be little question as to the qualifications necessary for induction.
Teams, Coaches, Athletic Administrator, or Staff Member shall be eligible for the Hall of Fame by achieving any of the following (ten year waiting period after the Hall of Fame qualifications have been achieved):
- Baseball – World Series team, a team that finishes in the Top 10 Poll, or Conference Champions
- Basketball – Elite Eight Team, a team that finishes in the Top 10 Poll, Conference Champions
- Football – Bowl Team that finishes in the Top 20 Poll or Conference Champions
- Rowing – Top 12 Team or Conference Champions
- Soccer – Great Eight Team, a team that finishes in the Top 10 Poll, Conference Champions
- Softball – World Series Team, a team that finishes in the Top 10 Poll, or Conference Champions
- Volleyball – Great Eight Team, a team that finishes in the Top 10 Poll, or Conference Champions
- All other sports – Top 10 team finish at NCAA Nationals, a Top 10 finish in the final poll, or Conference Champions
- Head Coaches eligible if team eligible
- Athletic Administrator or Staff Member, the person must have either earned a Varsity ‘O’ letter at Oregon State University or have been on the staff for at least five (5) years.
