
Oregon State Swimming Defeats Seattle University

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State swim team defeated the Seattle University Redhawks today at the Dixon Recreation Center in Corvallis, Ore. The final score of the dual meet was 190-74 in the Beaver's favor.
The Beavers started the meet off right with a win in the 400-yard medley relay where the team of Jenni Dole, Marisa Warman, Rachel O'Brien and Shelby Webber took first place with a time of 3:59.36.
Oregon State ended up winning 12 out of the 14 events at today's dual. O'Brien won her second dual of the season when she took first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.22.
Delise Batiza, Dakota Bloch and Shelby Webber swam to their first dual wins of their collegiate career today when Batiza won the 1,000-yard freestyle, Bloch won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, and Webber took home first in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard freestyle.
Baitza finished the 1,000 yard freestyle in 10:34.44. Bloch finished the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.51 and completed the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:10.03. Webber completed the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.04 and finished the 100-yard freestyle in 54.81.
Dole added to her career dual wins with a first place finish in the 200-yard backstroke and the 50-yard freestyle. She finished the 200-yard backstroke in 2:07.20 and completed the 50-yard freestyle sprint in 24.44.
Anna Humphrey won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.00 and Erica Brannon won the 200-yard individual medley finishing with a time of 2:12.42.
To end the meet, the Beavers won the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Webber, Ocean Trail, O'Brien and Dole finished the relay with a time of 1:40.00.
The Beavers will return to action when they host the Alumni Relays at the Dixon Recreation Center on November 5. The meet is set to start at 9:00 a.m.
