As a Junior (2003): The All-American had the best season of her collegiate career, and as a result, she was named one of OSU's co-Most Valuable Gymnasts. She was named Pacific-10 Gymnast of the Week twice (first for her role in OSU's upset of No. 1 UCLA and again after winning four events in a win over then-No. 13 Denver and Seattle Pacific)... Led the Beavers with a total of 12 individual titles in 2003 (four all-around, three on beam and floor and two on bars)... Averaged 39.273 in 10 all-around appearances, highlighted by a career-best 39.575 against Denver and SPU to tie for the eighth-best score in school history... Had a 39.525 in the season opener and is one of only two Beavers to score higher than 39.500 twice in the same season. Her averages of 9.869 on beam and 9.871 on floor ranked first on the team... Had a career-high 9.95 on beam in the meet with Denver and SPU, and she scored 9.90 or better five times... Had a career-high 9.95 on floor at the Pac-10 Championships to tie for fifth, and she had a 9.90 or better in six other meets, including the NCAA South Central Regionals to place fourth at that meet... Averaged 9.783 on bars, with a career-high 9.925 against Cal to go along with two other 9.90 marks... Her best vault score was a 9.85 in the season opener... In all, Ricioli scored a 9.90 or better 15 times and a 9.80 or better 33 times in 2003.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2002): Had her first true season as an all-arounder after injuries hampered her first two seasons (as a freshman, a thumb injury in late January left her unable to compete bars for the rest of the season, and as a sophomore, she ruptured her Achilles in the season opener and missed the entire year)... Scored a career-high 39.450 in the all-around at the NCAA Regional Championships, for her fifth 39-plus score of the year... Matched her career-high on floor with a 9.925 and placed second on bars with a career-high 9.90 at the regional meet... Also led the Beavers with a 9.80 on vault and had a 9.825 on beam to round out her strong regional performance... Unfortunately, an ankle sprain limited her to bars and beam at the NCAA Championships... Had the team's best average on vault (9.746) and was named the team's Co-Most Consistent Gymnast on that event... Scored 9.80 or better on her last five vaults, including a season-high 9.85 at the Pacific-10 Championships... Averaged 9.732 on bars and 9.738 on floor... Scored a season-best 9.90 three times on floor before the 9.925 at regionals... Scored 9.80 or better on bars seven times before the 9.90 at regionals... Had five scores of 9.80 or better on beam, including 9.85 twice (at Cal State Fullerton and at UCLA)... Averaged 38.902 in 12 all-around competitions... Won four individual titles, one apiece on vault, bars, beam and all-around.
As a Sophomore (2001): Tanya's season ended almost before it even began... Ruptured her left Achilles' while performing her first tumbling pass on floor in the season opener at Michigan... Scored a 9.80 on bars and a 9.70 on vault in that competition before the injury... Her bars score was the second best on the team in that meet... Was granted a medical redshirt... Named an NACGC/W Scholastic All-American.
As a Freshman (2000): Earned second team All-American honors on floor with a 9.85 routine at the NCAA Championships... Competed as an all-arounder in the first five meets but a thumb injury (sprained ulnar collateral ligament in her right thumb) limited her participation after that... Vaulted in all 13 meets, competed on floor in 12 meets and on beam in nine meets but was unable to compete on bars after the injury... Claimed eight victories in various events (two on vault, two on bars, one on floor and three in the all-around)... All eight wins came before her injury... Was named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week on January 25... Averaged 9.790 on floor, with a season-best 9.925 at the Shanico Inn-vitational... Scored a 9.825 or better nine times... Averaged 9.763 on vault, with a high of 9.875 at the Shanico... On beam, averaged 9.622... Scored a career-high 9.90 at NCAA Regionals to place third... Averaged 38.640 with a high of 39.200 in five all-around performances... Her top score on bars was 9.825 in the season opener at Michigan State... Was named the team's Rookie of the Year, Co-Most Valuable Gymnast and Most Consistent Beam Performer.
Pre-Oregon State: Placed eighth in the all-around at the 1999 Level 10 nationals... Also placed ninth on floor and 10th on vault at that meet... Graduated from Piner High School, where she finished in the top 10 percent of her class... Selected OSU because "I really felt like I fit with the team and coaches, and I liked the campus."
Personal: Born in Santa Rosa, California... Daughter of Ana and Bill Ricioli... Has an older brother, Michael... Married Danny Hebron in August, 2003... Majoring in applied visual arts.
