As a Freshman (2002): Competed only exhibition routines as a freshman, with two on vault and one apiece on beam and floor... Scored a 9.525 on both of her vaults, but had falls on the other events... NACGC/W Scholastic All-American.
Pre-Oregon State: Tied for 13th on beam at the 2001 Level 10 Junior Olympic national meet... Was fourth in the all-around at the 2001 regional meet... Placed ninth on beam at Level 10 nationals in 2000... Was fourth in the all-around and second on floor at regionals in 2000 and was first on vault and beam at the Colorado state meet that same year... Was a club teammate of current Beaver Lindsay Nelson.
Personal: Born in Boulder, Colorado... Daughter of Phyllis and Michael Stephenson... Has two older sisters, Cecily and Denise... Majoring in pre-communications... Graduated from Boulder High School, where she was a student council member... Chose OSU because of "the great academics and amazing gymnastics team."
