OREGON STATE: (2004) Monica begins her career at OSU this fall... coach Fennah's comments: "Monica is a player we're very excited about. She's a player with international experience. She's a big, strong defender, reads the game well, is good in the air and passes well."
ODP: U.S. National Team U-17-19... U.S. U-19 team beat the Russian National Team... Region IV Regional Team, 2002-03... played three years for the Cal South State team... won regionals.

AYALA: Earned four letters as a midfielder/defender... team went 31-1-3 in league play, 65-9-13 overall in her four years... four-time Sierra League All-Academic Award recipient... as a senior: team captain, team Defensive Player of the Year, league Most Valuable Player, All-CIF first team... as a junior: first-team All-Sierra League, All-CIF third team... as a sophomore, second-team All-Sierra League... as a freshman, team Offensive Player of the Year, All-Inland second team, first-team All-Sierra League... one of five seniors in a class of 900 to earn the Outstanding Senior Award.
PERSONAL: Born in Upland, Calif... daughter of Roxanne and Drew Storm... family includes brother, Matthew (20)... mother is an accounting manager, father is a sales representative... Matthew played football at Mt. San Antonio Junior College and at East Central University in Ada, Okla... contemplating a career in athletic training... majoring in Exercise and Sport Science... four former prep teammates are playing collegiately, including OSU teammate Alison Vislay... biggest thrill to date has been playing with the U-19 National Team and beating the Russian National Team... something she'd like to accomplish is, "to get my degree so I can work as an athletic trainer at a college in California"... she says the most interesting thing about her is, "My outgoing personality and how I make friends easily"... favorite thing about soccer is "The girls I get to play with and meet. I love the competition"... chose OSU, "because of the people on the team, the coaches and the overall college atmosphere."
