
Women's Golf Through 36 Holes In Hawai'i

KONA, Hawai'i – The Oregon State women's golf team posted an excellent morning round during 36 holes of play on Hawaii's Big Island on Monday to sit in 11th place with 18 holes remaining at the Pac-12 Preview.
The Beavers shot an 8-over 300 in the first round at the par-73, 6,392-yard Nanea Golf Club and a 26-over 318 in the afternoon. Washington built a commanding lead after carding a 9-under 282-293--575, while UCLA is second with a 1-under 583 and Stanford is third with a 10-over 594.
The final round of the two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on Tuesday and live scoring is available on golfstat.com.

Junior Chelsea Saelee continued her strong play with an even-par 73 in the morning and a 6-over 79 after the lunch break to put her in a tie for 26th place. She had one birdie, which came on the par-5 18th hole, 16 pars and a bogey in the first round, and 12 pars and six bogeys in the second round.
Freshman Haley Nist is tied for 30th place after a pair of solid rounds, carding a 2-over 75 in the morning and a 5-over 78 in the afternoon. She dropped one birdie in each round, with those coming on the par-4 fifth and par-4 10th holes.
Junior Ashlee Pickerell is tied for 41st place with a 10-over 74-82--156, senior Anica Yoo is tied for 45th with an 11-over 78-79--157 and freshman Hannah Swanson is in 59th with a 19-over 80-85--165.
Alison Lee of UCLA hold the clubhouse lead with a 9-under 137 and SooBin Kim of Washington is second with a 6-under 140.
