
OSU Swimming Travels for Houston Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. – After a home meet this past weekend, the Oregon State swimming team returns to the road for a three-day meet in Houston, Texas, as the Beavers prepare to swim in the Houston Invitational.
The three-day meet will begin competition at the University of Houston's Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium on Thursday and is set to conclude on Saturday. Preliminary heats will be swam each day at 10 a.m. CT while finals are slated to begin at 6 p.m. CT.
Oregon State enters this weekend following wins in eight events last time out against BYU. Seniors Sammy Harrison and Amani Amr and juniors Czsarina Isleta and Anni Hecker combined to post wins in eight events, the most by the team in a dual meet this season.
Included in this weekend's field are host Houston, Colorado State, Idaho, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, North Texas, Rice, Tulane and UC-Davis.
Up next for the Oregon State swimming team is the U.S. Winter Nationals held in Federal Way, Wash. The meet will take place all day from Thursday, Dec. 3 through Saturday, Dec. 5. Following that meet, the team will have over a month off before hosting Utah in a dual meet at Osborn at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.
