Lin’s 4-Under Paces Beavers In Final Round At Thunderbird Collegiate

PHOENIX – Stanley Lin shot a 4-under 67 to end play at the Thunderbird Collegiate on Saturday, posting the best score by a Beaver at the two-day event.
Lin finished with seven birdies on the day, going three straight at the 13th, 14th and 15th holes, and two consecutive twice. He ended the event with 15 birdies over 54 holes, among the tournament's lead.
Lin paced Oregon State overall with a 6-under 207, finishing under par in all three rounds. He went back-to-back 1-under 70 rounds on Friday.
Lin tied for 14th and the Beavers tallied a 10th-place finish as a team, shooting 7-under overall.
Bradley Smolinski finished with his second round under par. He tied for 22nd overall with 3-under 210 thanks to a 1-under 70 on Saturday. He collected five birdies in his second round under par at the event.
Smolinski recorded 12 overall, one shy of Brandon Eyre, who had 13 to finish second on the team in birdies.
Rylan Johnson recorded 10, with three coming on the final day of action. He shot a 2-over 73 Saturday and tied for 42 with a 2-over 215.
Eyre finished with his second consecutive 1-over 72 and was a 4-over 217 for the event. He tied for 49th.
Collin Hodgkinson shot at par, 71, on Saturday and ended the event with a 6-over 219. He placed 56th.
Brody Marconi, competing as an individual, finished with a 12-over 225, ending the event with an 8-over 79 on the final day. He finished in 61st.
