Belgian Post Néné Sow Joins Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State announced the signing of transfer post Néné Sow on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-8 graduate student is a transfer from the University of Utah, where she spent three seasons after transferring in from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
"Néné is a post who fits well in our style of play. Offensively, she finishes well around the rim and will be an impactful player in our system on both ends of the floor," head coach Scott Rueck said. "She is a fantastic person, and I am excited for Beaver Nation to welcome Néné to Oregon State."
"I chose Oregon State because I believe in this program, this is more than a program, it's a family, and the fans are amazing," Sow said. "I think Oregon State is a great fit for me. Coach Scott is a great coach who is really good at developing post players like me."
Sow played in 21 games over two seasons for the Utes, helping them make two NCAA Tournament appearances. She redshirted in 2022-23 – while she was teammates with recent Beaver graduate Kelsey Rees - before seeing time in 12 games and shooting 50 percent from the floor in 2023-24.
Prior to joining the Utes, Sow spent two years at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in the NJCAA. She shot better than 50 percent from the floor in both seasons, helping Lady Norse reach the NJCAA Region II Tournament twice.
Sow is the second transfer signee – along with guard Jenna Villa - to join an Oregon State roster fresh off its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth since 2014 under head coach Scott Rueck. The Beavers return three starters from last season's WCC Championship team.
