Beavers Take Third At National Golf Invitational

MARICOPA, Ariz. – Rylan Johnson shot a 4-under 68 in the third and final round of the National Golf Invitational, leading the Oregon State men's golf team concluded its season Sunday.

The Beavers placed third at the event hosted by GolfWeek, posting a team score of 7-under 857. Oregon State jumped up one spot after Saturday's action and five after finishing in a tie for eighth after the first 18 holes.

Bradley Smolinski led the Beavers over the three-day event, tying for third with an 8-under 208. He finished with a 1-over 73 on Sunday and was under par each of the first two days. He totaled 15 birdies and he ended with the first top-10 finish of his collegiate career.

Johnson had the best round by a Beaver Sunday, recording four of his 10 birdies on the trip. He tied for 10^th, the fourth top-10 finish of 2024-25 and seventh of his career.

Collin Hodgkinson finished with a 1-over 17 at the par-72 Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, tying for 21^st. He recorded 14 birdies, three of which came on Sunday when he tallied a 1-over 73.

Stanley Lin led OSU with 16 birdies over the 54 holes and tied for 25^th with a 2-over 218. He concluded the trip with a 2-over 74, finishing with five birdies.
