Sulman Raza Named Assistant Men’s Golf Coach At Oregon State
June 23, 2025 | Men's Golf
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sulman Raza has joined the Oregon State men's golf team as an assistant coach, head coach Jon Reehoorn announced on Monday.
"We're thrilled to welcome Sulman to Oregon State and excited to have him as part of our program," Reehoorn said. "A national champion who grew up in Oregon, Sulman brings a passion and infectious personality for helping players grow on and off the course. He's been to the top in college golf and knows exactly what it takes to get there — his experience and perspective will be invaluable to our team."
Raza was a member of the Oregon men's golf team and played an instrumental role in helping the Ducks advance to three consecutive NCAA Championship events. In fact, in 2016, he won the deciding match in Oregon's national championship but making the winning putt in match play versus Texas.
He comes to Corvallis after serving as an assistant coach at Tennessee State since 2023. Prior to that, he played professionally, turning pro in the summer of 2018. His first official PGA Tour event came at 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York. He also competed at the Barracuda Championship. He closed out that year with an impressive tie for second finish at the All Pro Tour Sweetwater Open.
A Lithuanian native, he grew up in the United States with his Pakistan-born adopted father and American-adopted mother. He competed at South Eugene High School and won the 2012 Oregon State Stat Prep Title.
