
Straudi, Carbonell Garcia Sweep WCC Honors

CORVALLIS – Oregon State men's soccer swept the West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors the league office announced Monday. Fabian Straudi was named Offensive Player of the Week, and Iker Carbonell Garcia was selected as Defensive Player of the Week.
Straudi recorded a goal and an assist Thursday against UC Santa Barbara, and he followed that up with another assist Sunday against Washington. Straudi now has 17 career assists, tying him for fourth in program history.
Carbonell Garcia tallied four assists over the first two games, recording a pair in each contest. He leads the nation in assists through the first weekend of the season.
The Beavers will be back in action this week for a pair of marquee road matchups, as they face Notre Dame Thursday and No. 11 Indiana Sunday.
