CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over Colorado State Sunday afternoon at Paul Lorenz Field.

Lea Gentry found the net for the Beavers, scoring late in the first half to lift OSU to victory. Ava Burdeyny recorded an assist on the goal, as Oregon State collected its second-straight win.

Ally Larkin came up big in net, making seven saves to hold the clean sheet.

The teams played an even match for the first 15 minutes, as clear-cut chances proved hard to come by early on. Oregon State challenged looking for a penalty kick in the 23^rd minute, but the PK was not awarded after video review.

Mary Hoffman created the best scoring chance of opening half hour, heading one just outside the post off a cross from Amber Ogbolu. Gentry put Oregon State in front just before the break, getting her head on a long free kick from Burdeyny to push the ball past the keeper.

The Beavers headed to the break, leading 1-0.

Oregon State was firmly on the front-foot to begin the second 45. Sophia Zboyan pushed a shot just over the bar in the 64^th minute.

Colorado State attacked late on looking for an equalizer. Larkin made some big saves down the stretch, and the OSU back line held firm to lock down the victory.

The Beavers will play their final home game of the season Friday when Utah State visits Lorenz Field.
