Men’s Golf Sets Team Single-Round Record; Anh Minh Ties Individual Round

BANDON, Ore. – Nguyen Anh Minh tied the Oregon State men's golf single-round record with a 10-under 61 Sunday to open play at the Bandon Dunes Championship.
His round helped propel the Beavers to a team record of 21-under in the opening round of the event, behind held at the par-71 Bandon Dunes course. This betters the previous team mark of 16-under accomplished at the 2016 Amer Ari Invitational and 2021 Pac-12 Championships.
Anh Minh tied teammate Collin Hodgkinson for the lowest round in individual history. Hodgkinson had set it last year at The Tindall.
Anh Minh recorded 10 birdies on Sunday, including seven on the front nine. Suffice it to say, he is leading the event, and by a wide margin. He is five strokes ahead of teammate Rylan Johnson, who tallied a 5-under 66 Sunday.
Anh Minh's round is a Bandon Dunes course record.
Hodgkinson and Ethan Elleraas are both tied for ninth with matching 3-under 68s.
The Beavers, as a team, lead the event, and are five shots ahead of No. 2 Oregon.
Round two in Bandon commences on Monday.
