OGDEN, Utah – The Oregon State women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Weber State Sunday afternoon in Ogden, Utah.

Mary Hoffman scored the Beaver goal, slotting home a first-half attempt off an assist from Lea Gentry. Hoffman's tally was her second of the season, while Gentry now sits on two goals and two assists for the year. Libby Brooker came through with an impressive performance in net, making nine saves in her first start of the campaign.

Gentry forced a save with a shot from distance on a 16^th-minute Oregon State counter-attack. Weber State opened the scoring in the 23^rd minute, finding the net on a penalty kick.

Hoffman answered right back, slotting home the equalizer off the assist from Gentry. Brooker made a diving save from close range in the 31^st to keep the sides level, as the teams went to the intermission with the score 1-1.

Brooker continued her strong play in the second 45 minutes. Weber State reclaimed the lead in the 78^th minute on a shot into the bottom corner. Oregon State battled down the stretch looking to get the match back on level terms, but could not find a second goal.

The Beavers will return to the Beaver State next week for a road matchup against Oregon and a home contest against Washington.
