Steven Kwan, Travis Bazzana, Trevor Larnach Homer in Same Game

Three players with Oregon State roots delivered a rare moment inside one ballpark on Sunday, as Steven Kwan, Travis Bazzana and Trevor Larnach — all products of Oregon State baseball — each homered in Cleveland's 9-2 win over Minnesota at Progressive Field.
It started early.
Kwan, leading off the bottom of the first, jumped on a 1-0 fastball from Twins starter Joe Ryan and lifted it into the overhang above the right field wall — his third homer of the year and an early signal that this wouldn't be an ordinary Sunday. He wasn't done, either. By the time the game wrapped, Kwan had gone 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored, setting the table again and again for the Guardians.
Bazzana, the Australian-born second baseman quickly becoming a fixture in Cleveland's lineup, spent the middle innings doing a little bit of everything. He knocked in a run with a two-out single in the fourth, then turned a Travis Adams offering into his 12th home run of the season two innings later — a two-run blast that landed deep in the right-center-field seats. By day's end, Bazzana had a walk, a homer and three RBI to his name.
Larnach provided the counterpunch for Minnesota, leading off the top of the seventh with his 13th homer of the year, a solo shot that briefly pulled the Twins back within striking distance. He'd added a double earlier in the game, giving him two extra-base hits on the afternoon — all within the same four walls as his two Beaver counterparts across the diamond.
Three swings, one ballpark, one shared origin story in Corvallis. Kwan and Larnach were teammates on Oregon State's 2018 College World Series championship team, with Larnach's tie-breaking two-run homer in the ninth inning of Game 2 helping push the Beavers to their third national title. Bazzana arrived at Oregon State years later and left as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, selected by the very franchise he shares a clubhouse with today.
For one Sunday afternoon at Progressive Field, three players who once wore the same Oregon State jersey all cleared the same outfield wall.
