Baker's Dozen of OSU Women's Soccer Players Given All-Academic Honors by Pac-12

Dawson, Oljar, Richardson end up on first-team, while Niewoehner is second-team honoree
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 Conference released its women's soccer All-Academic teams for the 2012 season and a total of 13 Oregon State Beavers can be found on the list, including a trio on the first team.
Out of the 11-member All-Academic first team, Brandi Dawson, Brittney Oljar and Jenna Richardson accounted for three slots, while Jessica Niewoehner is the lone OSU representative on the second team.
Dawson is a junior Human Development and Family Science major with a 3.96 GPA, which is tied for the third on the team. Oljar is a fellow junior who is an Accountancy major that boasts a 3.85 GPA, while Richardson earned a 3.86 GPA as another Human Development and Family Science major. The junior forward was also named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team for her play this season
Moving onto the second team where Niewoehner can be found. The junior defender is a Psychology major with a 3.68 GPA.
Aside from the four Beavers who earned All-Academic first and second team honors a total of nine garnered Honorable Mention status. Those included GK Audrey Bernier-Larose, MF Jacy Drobney, D Morgan Kennedy, D Marissa Kovac, MF Lindsay Meiggs, MF Megan Miller, D Julia Sattler, MF Haley Shaw and MF Erin Uchacz.
Last season OSU had 14 total team members receive All-Academic honors, with three winding up on the first or second team.
To be eligible for the selection to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
