Wrestlers Honored At 2012 Team Banquet

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Clayton Jack received the Robin Reed Outstanding Wrestler Award as Oregon State honored its team Saturday night.
Jack also received the Team Leadership Award and was one of three All-Americans – along with Scott Sakaguchi and Mike Mangrum – honored. The banquet wrapped up the year for the Beavers, which saw Oregon State reach 10 wins for the 14th consecutive season and finish 10th at the NCAA Championships – the team’s best finish since 1998.
Mangrum also received the Most Improved Award, while Garrett Drucker was named the Bill Brickey Most Dedicated wrestler. RJ Pena was named the hardest worker and received the Larry Bielenberg/Len Kaufman Most Pins Award after finishing with 20.
Sakaguchi, who finished with a 38-7 overall record – tying with Mangrum for the second-most wins on the team – receieved the Dale Thomas Hustle Award.
Lastly, Anthony Harris, who is majoring in sociology and chemical engineering, received the team’s highest GPA honor.
