Matt Boyd, Matt Boyd, Matt Boyd, Friday's probable starter, hails from the Seattle area and will be making his seventh career appearance against Washington, but his first start. The lefty has worked six innings of relief against the Huskies, allowing eight hits and two runs while striking out five.
Barnes Stretches To 11
Ryan Barnes stretched his season-long hit streak to 11 games with a 2-for-4 effort against Portland on Wednesday. He is 18-for-44 (.409) during it. Barnes has recorded seven two-hit games during the streak.
On The Road
Oregon State has an 11-3 record on opponent's fields this season, including a 5-1 record in Pac-12 Conference games. The club is batting .298 in road games while the pitching staff sports a 1.76 earned run average in 123 innings.
