Ben Wetzler held USC to six hits and a run over eight innings Sunday to send the Beavers to a 6-1 win over the Trojans. Dylan Davis drove in two for Oregon State, which swept USC in a three-game series for the first time in school history. Wetzler struck out five with his only blemish coming in the fourth inning on a solo home run. Michael Conforto and Beau Day each drove in runs for the Beavers in the first. Oregon State led by three after two as Andy Peterson hit a sac fly in the second.

Oregon State is 14-13 all-time against California at home and a bulk of those of wins have come in the last four matchups at Goss Stadium. The Beavers have won the last four series between the teams in Corvallis, going 10-2 overall. OSU has swept two of the series.
