Stephanie McGregor Garners NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

May 2, 2013
The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee has selected senior Oregon State gymnast Stephanie McGregor among the scholarship recipients for the winter sports season during the 2012-13 academic year.
The NCAA awards up to 174 postgraduate scholarships annually, 87 for men and 87 for women. The $7,500 scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. Each sports season (fall, winter and spring), there are 29 scholarships available for men and 29 scholarships available for women. The scholarships are one-time, non-renewable grants.
McGregor, a fifth-year senior studying Bioengineering in OSU's Honors College, performed in the Beavers' bars lineup in all 12 meets in 2013 and in the vault lineup eight times. The Calgary, Alberta native posted a career-best 9.950 on the bars to help the Beavers set the school-record of 49.675 on the apparatus en route to winning the Pac-12 Championships in March. She was a first team all-conference selection on the bars this year and is a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic First Team selection.
