Red Nixon joins the Oregon State women's soccer staff as a student assistant coach for the 2010 season after playing four stellar seasons for the Beavers.
CAREER: Played in a total of 80 games at Oregon State ... Had a single game high three goals and six points in a hat-trick performance against Lamar (9/16/07) ... Single game high in shots was six which came against Fresno State (10/3/08).
OSU 2009: Played in all 23 games while starting 17 ... Played a total of 1,261 minutes ... Recorded three goals and three assists for nine points ... Scored two goals on three shots against Nevada (9/4) ... scored a goal in a 2-1 win at USC (10/23) ... Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
OSU 2008: Played in 18 games on the season, starting 16 as a midfielder or defender ... Ranked third on the team with two goals scored ... Scored Oregon State's goal against Weber State ... Scored a goal in the win over nationally-ranked Washington State ... Posted 26 shots on the season ... Registered a season-high six shots in the tie against Fresno State.
OSU 2007: Played in 19 games on the season, starting 18 as a midfielder and defender ... Ranked third on the team with three goals as she posted a hat trick and tallied six points in the victory over Lamar ... Ranked third on the team with eight points ... Posted an assist in the win over Montana ... Tallied an assist in the tie against rival Oregon ... Took 20 shots on the season, placing nine on goal.
OSU 2006: Was a standout as a freshman, helping OSU on defense and in the midfield ... Played in all 20 games, starting 18 ... Had one goal and two assists (four points), and took 12 shots ... Scored her goal vs. New Hampshire ... Assisted on the game-winning goals in 1-0 victories over Northern Colorado and St. John's ... Was the Defensive MVP of the OSU Nike Invitational and also named to the WSU Cougar Classic all-tournament team.
ODP: Has been part of Colorado's ODP state team the past five years and was in the regional pool.
