Shawn Schoeffler is in his 16th year at Oregon State and works with the football and women's golf programs. He worked with the men's basketball program his first 12 years at Oregon State.
Schoeffler worked at the Fiesta Bowl for more than 16 years where he handled the publicity efforts for the year-round festival of 40 events in his role as Vice President of Media Relations. He was in charge of all media operations for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and Insight Bowl and handled the media efforts for four national championship games (1996, 1999, 2003 and 2007).
Prior to the Fiesta Bowl, Schoeffler worked as a public relations intern with the Pac-12 Conference where he assisted with the media operations for the 1992 Rose Bowl. He also served as game day media relations assistant for the Golden State Warriors.
He received a B.S. in technical journalism from Oregon State University where he worked in the sports information department and was sports editor of the Daily Barometer. He also worked for the Albany Democrat-Herald and Corvallis Gazette-Times during his time as a student.
Schoeffler and his wife, Stephanie, an Oregon State alumnus, reside in Corvallis and have two children, Sara and Luke.
