Sierra Bishop joined the Oregon State Women’s Rowing coaching staff in September 2026.
Bishop rowed for five seasons in Corvallis, working her way from the novice eight to a four-year member of the 1V8. During her time with the Beavers’ top boat, Oregon State made a trip to the NCAA Championships, placing 14th in 2022. The Wilsonville native was a two-time All-American, earning second team honors in 2022 after being an honorable mention selection in 2021, also finding success at the international level, winning gold in the eight at the 2021 World Rowing U-23 Championships.
After graduating, she competed for the Penn AC High-Performance Team, United States Beach Sprints National Team and Oxford Brookes Rowing Team.
Bishop started her coaching career at Shipley high School in Bryn Mawr, Pa., before moving to Oxford, where she was on the staff at the staff at St. Hugh’s College. While in England, her role focused on creating a comprehensive training program for athletes and evaluating race results to inform strategic race planning.
