OSU Loses At Washington 4-1

SEATTLE, Wash. - Oregon State didn't find the net until the closing minutes and lost to Washington 4-1 in Pacific-10 women's soccer Friday afternoon. The Beavers (7-7-1 overall, 0-4-0 Pacific-10) finish their weekend trip at Washington State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Beavers finally got on the scoreboard in the 85th minute when Ashley Johnston scored her first career goal. A corner kick set up the score, as Johnston headed in a cross from Morgan Crabtree.
Washington (5-7-1, 2-1-1) had scored twice in each half, and the Huskies Caroline Putz tallied two goals while Theresa Wagner had a goal and an assist.
Putz opened the scoring with an 18-yard blast in the sixth minute. The Huskies made it 2-0 in the 36th minute when Wagner scored off an assist by Natalie Campbell.
In the 56th minute, Tami Bennett scored off a cross by Wagner for UW. The Huskies' final goal came in the 72nd minute as Putz again scored, this time off an assist by Dee Behler.
