CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State's winning streak ended at four games Sunday morning as the Beavers were beaten 1-0 by Denver in non-league women's soccer at Lorenz Field at Valley Stadium. OSU (4-2-0 overall, 0-0-0 Pacific-10) saw the Pioneers (2-2-1) to in front in the 80th minute, and the Beavers couldn't come up with the equalizer.
Oregon State now goes to San Jose State for a non-league game Wednesday at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, the game's only goal came off a free kick from the left side of the field outside the penalty area. Denver's Jamie Norwood sent the kick to Mychael Movius on the right side, and Movius drove a shot back to the left past OSU goalkeeper Jerika Duran and inside the far post.
The Beavers did manage a pair of shots in the final 10 minutes, but an attempt by Morgan Crabtree sailed high and Courtney Carter missed wide to the left. Most of the game was played in the midfield, as OSU managed just seven shots and Denver seven.
