Oregon State Holds Off Prairie View

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) - Nick DeWitz scored 20 points for Oregon State, which took a big halftime lead then held on to beat winless Prairie View A&M 67-63 on Tuesday night.
DeWitz was 8-of-14 from the field. Sasa Cuic was 5-of-9 for 12 points for the Beavers (7-3).
Jared Ellison led Prairie View with 15 points but hit only 3 of his 11 free throws. Phillip Scott scored 13 points, and Dominique Sharp scored 10 points for the Panthers (0-8).
The Beavers jumped out to a 32-17 halftime lead, shooting just less than 21 percent from the field. The Panthers made up ground in the second half by shooting 63 percent but couldn't take the lead.
