2000-2001: Tanner is a legitimate postseason honors candidate...one of 50 players (10 from the Pac-10 Conference) to be selected to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason All-America Team...one of the top-15 point guards in the nation, according to Dick Vitale's College Basketball...preseason second team All-Pac-10 by the Basketball News and Athlon Sports...he enters this season with a chance to break into Oregon State's top five all-time scoring list -- a quintet that includes Gary Payton (1987-90), Steve Johnson (1977-81), Mel Counts (1962-64), A.C. Jan. 15, 2000 vs. California -- Deaundra scored a career-high 28 points vs. the Bears...he also had a season-high six steals...hit 10 of 12 free throw attempts, and 4 of 8 three-point field goal attempts.
Jan. 9, 1999 vs. USC -- Tanner scored all 10 of OSU's points in an overtime victory over the Trojans...he made 5 of 5 three-point field goal attempts, scored a then career-high 27 points, and snarred a career-high 12 rebounds.
