On being 10-2 with the conclusion of non-conference play...
"I couldn't be happier with our non-conference record, but we really don't have time to enjoy it. We need to get right into our conference preparations, but I want our guys to know how proud I am of how they handled this non-conference schedule because even I didn't think we'd be 10-2. So it's nice but we don't have time to enjoy it."
On the Beavers making the NCAA Tournament the last time they started 10-2 in 1990...
"I know people are going to talk about the last time we went 10-2 was the last time we went to the NCAA Tournament, but we can't get ahead of ourselves. We have been a one day at a time team all season long and we are going to continue that."
On five players scoring in double-figures again...
"This was a hard game. That's a good team to play because they play all kinds of crazy defenses so it made it hard on our guys. We had way more turnovers than we needed but we still had the same number of assists that we like to get. So our guys continue to play unselfish basketball and that's good to see."
On Ahmad Starks playing well in his return to Chicago...
"I always say it's not possible for a guy to come home and have a good game, but Ahmad proved me wrong on that one. He had a terrific first half and pretty much just put the lead out for us. In the second half, the shots he missed were all in and back out. He had a terrific game and with the amount of work that he has put in, he deserved to have a good game."
