Game Notes
· Weather at game time was 64 degrees and clear with no wind.
· The game aired on ESPN2. Mike Patrick was the play-by-play announcer while Ed Cunningham was the analyst and Jeannine Edwards was the sideline reporter.
· Oregon State won the coin toss and elected to defer. Cal received and defended the south end zone.
· Oregon State captains were Brandin Cooks, Sean Mannion, Rashaad Reynolds, Grant Enger and Tyler Anderson.
· Oregon State wore its #ReBeaved all white uniforms and white helmets. Cal dressed in gold pants with blue jerseys and blue helmets.
· Attendance for the game was 44,671.
Oregon State Team Notes
· Oregon State's first scoring drive encompassed 91 yards on seven plays in 1:55. It was the Beavers' 13th scoring drive of less than two minutes in 2013 and was also the team's longest on the year, besting the 11-play, 90-yard drive it put together in the second quarter at Utah. Eleven of those sub-2:00 scoring drives have ended with a Beaver touchdown.
· Following Scott Crichton's forced fumble at the tail end of the first quarter, Oregon State's 53-second scoring drive was its seventh of less than a minute this season. The last six such drives have gone for touchdowns.
· That score following Crichton's forced fumble was also the 10th time OSU has turned a takeaway into a touchdown this season.
· By putting up 49 points, Oregon State has now scored at least 30 in all seven games this season, its longest streak since 2000 when it strung together nine in a row.
· Saturday also marked the first time in program history that OSU has scored at least 40 in three consecutive games.
· Over those last three, the Beavers have racked up 145 points and 1,708 total yards.
· With the win, Oregon State has won its first three conference road games since 1939. The Beavers last won three straight conference road games at any point during the season when it beat Washington, UCLA and Arizona in 2008.
Oregon State Individual Notes
· Brandin Cooks moved up a number of all-time lists and came close to setting another handful of single-game records with his 13-reception, 232-yard effort on Saturday. It was the 11th 100-yard receiving game of his career, tying him with Sammie Stroughter and Markus Wheaton for third all-time at Oregon State.
· Cooks' 13 receptions are the second-most in a single game at OSU and just one shy of the record Cooks himself holds along with Mike Hass.
· His 232 yards receiving are also the second-most in a single game at Oregon State, just ahead of Robb Thomas' 230 yards against Akron in 1987. Mike Hass holds the school record of 293 yards against Boise State in 2004.
· The junior receiver now has 2,718 career receiving yards, moving him past James Rodgers (2,582) and Sammie Stroughter (2,623) into fourth in the school record books. Markus Wheaton is next with 2,994 career yards.
· Cooks eclipsed the 1,000-yard receiving mark on the season in the first quarter and now has 1,176 yards this year. Seven different OSU receivers have now reached the 1,000+ mark 12 times.
· Cooks had two touchdowns on Saturday, one rushing and one receiving. He now has 20 career touchdown receptions, which ties him with James Newson and Mike Hass for tops in Oregon State history.
· Sean Mannion passed for 481 yards on Saturday and now has 8,766 in his career. The junior passed Danny O'Neil (Oregon), Bill Musgrave (Oregon), Rob Johnson (USC) and Drew Olson (UCLA) and is now 19th all-time in Pac-12 history in that category. Jake Plummer (ASU) is next up on the list with 8,827 passing yards. Erik Wilhelm is up next in OSU's record books in third place in career passing yards with 9,383.
· Mannion now has 2,992 passing yards this season, already the eighth most in school history.
· Mannion's 29 touchdown passes through seven games tied Derek Anderson (2004) for the most in a single season at Oregon State.
· Chris Brown's tackle on the opening kickoff was the first of his career.
· Rashaad Reynolds' interception in the first quarter was his fourth of the season and fourth in OSU's last three games, topping the three he had throughout all of 2012.
· Storm Wood's 28-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter was the first receiving TD of his career.
· Terron Ward rushed for two touchdowns against Cal for the second consecutive season.
