Beavers fall to Wolf Pack

Oregon State falls to Nevada, 53-28
Reno, Nev. – The Beavers opened up the 2018-19 season on the road in Reno, Nevada with a Relay Meet at Lombardi Pool. The Wolf Pack took the decision 53-28.
"Overall, I am pleased with the way the team performed together with only four practices together," said head coach Jennifer Buffin. "They came together as a team and gave each other their best effort."
Â
The Beavers' returning juniors Arianna Letrari and Felicia Anderson anchored the Beavers first two A-relay teams of the afternoon. Kitty Schneider, Jacquie Price, and Letrari finished with a time of 1:18.87 in the 3x50 Butterfly Relay finishing in second. Lindsay Swail, Brooke Hofmann, and Felicia Anderson followed in the 3x50 Backstroke coming in less than a second behind the lead with a final time of 1:18.25.
"This is a good starting point for our program," continued coach Buffin. "The freshman stepped up and raced. With a few weeks of consistent training, I expect they will all improve in our upcoming home meets. This was just a great way for this program to compete for each other."
Â
Oregon State will return to the pool tomorrow for a brief scrimmage with Nevada before both schools' football teams are set to meet on the football field at 4 p.m.
Â
Oregon State is in action next at the Orange and Black meet at Osborn Aquatic Center on September 29th.
