COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Tres Tinkle scored 21 points but it wasn't enough as Oregon State lost 64-49 to Texas A&M on Saturday evening at Reed Arena.
The loss ended a seven-game winning streak for the Beavers, the program's longest since 1992-93.
Oregon State (9-2) opened up a 33-22 lead in the opening minute of the second half on a 3-point play by Tinkle. The Beavers struggled to score the rest of the game, as they went 1-for-11 from beyond the arc after the break.
Kylor Kelley scored nine points and Sean Miller-Moore added eight off the bench. Ethan Thompson had team highs with six rebounds and five assists.
Texas A&M (5-5) was led by Josh Nebo's 15 points and eight blocked shots. Savion Flagg and Quenton Jackson added 13 points apiece, and Emanuel Miller pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
Oregon State will next play North Dakota at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 at Gill Coliseum in the final non-conference game. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
