Beavers Fall To No. 24 Arizona In Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. – Jarod Lucas scored a team-high 18 points to lead Oregon State in an 89-63 loss to No. 24 Arizona on Thursday evening at the McKale Center.
The Beavers (15-11, 5-9 Pac-12) defeated the Wildcats in the first meeting between the teams this season, 82-65, at Gill Coliseum when Arizona was ranked 24th in the nation.
Lucas came off the bench and hit four 3-pointer and all four of his throws to finish with 18 points. He scored a career-high 21 points at Stanford earlier this season.
Kylor Kelley finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots, and Ethan Thompson added 11 points and seven assists.
Tres Tinkle had 10 points before being ejected midway through the second half after receiving his second technical of the game.
Arizona (19-7, 9-4 Pac-12) was led by Josh Green's 18 points. Nico Mannion scored 16 points, Max Hazzard added 15 off the bench and Zeke Nnaji chipped in 13 points.
The Beavers conclude their two-game swing through the desert when they face Arizona State at 5 p.m. PT (6 p.m. MT) on Saturday at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe.
