Men’s Golf Closes Out The Fall In California

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team will close out its fall schedule Monday when the Beavers open the two-day Cal Poly Invitational.
The two-day tournament, held in Carmel-By-The-Sea, Calif., near Monterey, is the fifth and final event for the Beavers in the fall. Oregon State has played in Washington, Michigan, New York and Corvallis before traveling to California. Oregon State played for four consecutive weeks before taking the last few weeks off after competing in the Oregon State Invitational.
Mateo Fuenmayor placed second at the OSU Invite, posting a 3-under 210 at the par-71 Trysting Tree Golf Club. He is averaging 73.50 strokes per round this season, just behind Carson Barry's team-best of 73.25.
FIELD (13): Oregon State, Cal Poly, Long Beach State, Marquette, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon, SMU, USC, South Florida, San Francisco and Washington
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,041-yard Preserve Golf Club in Carmel-By-The-Sea, Calif.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's contingent will consist of Mateo Fuenmayor, Carson Barry, Collin Hodgkinson, Jackson Lake and Rylan Johnson.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: A shotgun start will get underway at 8:30 a.m. PT each day.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.
