Men’s Golf Returns To Action Wednesday In Hawai’i

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team returns to tournament action Thursday when the Beavers visit Hawai'i for the three-day Amer Ari Invitational.
The Beavers compete at the Hapuna Golf Course in Waimea, where OSU finished with a 2-under 862 a year ago. Brandon Eyre paced the team with a 3-under 213 while Carson Barry and Mateo Fuenmayor each tallied a 1-over 217.
Barry led Oregon State over the fall with a 72.8 per round average, with four top-15 finishes in the Beavers' five tournaments. Most recently, he tied for ninth with a 3-under 213 at the Cal Poly Invitational.
Fuenmayor has two top-15 finishes, including a second-place mark at the Oregon State Invitational in October. Freshman Collin Hodgkinson has also had a top-five finish for OSU, posting a tie for fifth in the season opener at the Husky Invitational. He posted a 2-under 214 in the two-day event.
FIELD (20): Oregon State, Hawai'i, Hawai'i-Hilo, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Oregon, Georgia Tech, UC Davis, Texas, Pepperdine, North Carolina, San Jose State, TCU, Texas Tech, Auburn, Pacific, UCLA, Washington and Osaka Gakuin.
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,074-yard Hapuna Golf Course in Waimea, Hawai'i.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's lineup will consist of Carson Barry, Mateo Fuenmayor, Nolan Thoroughgood, Rylan Johnson and Collin Hodgkinson. Sean Kato will play as an individual.
FORMAT: Three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes each on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: The tournament will run with a shotgun format, starting at 9:30 a.m. PT time each day. That is a 7:30 a.m. start in Hawai'i.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.
