Men’s Golf Opens Play In Eugene Monday

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team opens play at the Oregon Duck Invitational Monday in Eugene.

Oregon State is coming off a rainout in Bandon Dunes and will thusly be competing in its third tournament of the spring. After the two-day Duck Invite, OSU is heading to the Goodwin in the Bay Area for rounds Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week. The Beavers have also announced they're playing in the Redhawk Invitational on April 1 and 2.

Mateo Fuenmayor won the co-title at last year's Duck Invitational, shooting a 6-under 207. OSU, as a team, finished second with a 5-over 857. Rylan Johnson tied for ninth and Jackson Lake tied for 17^th.

FIELD (15): Oregon State, Boise State, Cal Poly, Colorado, Colorado State, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Illinois, LMU, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon, San Jose State, Utah and UTEP.

COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,995-yard Eugene Country Club.

BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State's lineup will be Jackson Lake, Nicolas Quintero, Stanley Lin, Collin Hodgkinson and Brandon Eyre. Rylan Johnson will compete as an individual.

FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.

START TIMES: The 15-team event will get underway each day at 8:30 a.m. PT via a shotgun start.
