November 08, 2025 | Men's Soccer
STOCKTON, Calif. – Sava Catlett's 84th-minute goal lifted the No. 13 Oregon State men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Pacific Saturday evening in Stockton, Calif.
The win keeps the Beavers in first place in the WCC on 20 points with an undefeated conference mark of 6-0-2. No. 9 San Diego currently sits second with 19 points, and will visit Corvallis in the regular-season finale next Saturday with a conference title on the line.
Arnau Farnos opened the scoring in the contest, finding the net from the penalty spot in the first half. The Tigers were able to level things up on a deflected ball in the 82nd, but Catlett's second goal of the season proved the be the game-winner.
Farnos' tally was his 14th of the campaign, as he moves into a tie with Danny Mwanga and Sergi Solans for fifth on OSU's single-season list.
As a team, Oregon State now sits 10-3-2 overall on the year.
Neither side was able to create a real scoring opportunity in the first 25 minutes of the match, as the two sides battled back-and-forth. The Beavers' best scoring chances in the first half-hour came from set pieces, with OSU unable to convert on a trio of free kicks in the opposing third.
Farnos put the Beavers in front in the 36th, converting a penalty kick after a VAR review.
Jacob Zapien nearly doubled the advantage with a header just before the break, but his effort was over the bar. Oregon State headed to the intermission leading 1-0.
Tate Richards took aim in the 61st minute, but his glancing header was off target. Iker Carbonell Garcia curled one just outside the post from a tight angle in the 72nd minute, and Farnos followed that up by pushing one past the post just minutes later.
Pacific leveled the score in the 82nd minute, as a deflected ball into the box took an unfortunate bounce and found its way into the net. Catlett answered in the 84th minute, lifting the ball over the keeper from close range off a ball played across the face of goal by Farnos.
Oregon State will take on San Diego Saturday at 7 p.m.
