Stiles Selected as Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week
February 25, 2025 | Wrestling
CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the third time this season, Ethan Stiles has been named the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the league.
Stiles – ranked fifth at 149 lbs. by both FloWrestling and Intermat - defeated then-fifth-ranked Lachlan McNeil of North Carolina this past Sunday in Oregon State's regular season finale. The bout win turned the tide in the dual, tying the Tar Heels before ultimately pulling away for the win.
The redshirt freshman has won his last five bouts - including four against ranked opposition – since the end of January. Stiles' current five-bout winning streak is just one shy of his season-best, when he won his first six to start his career as an Oregon State student-athlete.
The Chicago product remains the sole student-athlete to win the Pac-12's weekly award at different weight classes. This is his second time winning in February after winning it at 157 lbs in November.
Stiles and the Beavers will compete next in the Pac-12 Championships on March 6th. Action from Gill Coliseum is set for 12:30 p.m. and can be seen only on FloWrestling.
