CORVALLIS, Ore. – Following a pair of wins at major decision last weekend, Ethan Stiles was tabbed the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the league.
The Beaver competing at 149 lbs., Stiles defeated seventh-ranked Jaden Abas of Stanford before closing the weekend with a second major over CSU Bakersfield's Brock Rogers. His win over Abas also marked his second consecutive win over a foe ranked in the top-10 after defeating then-no. 10 Jordan Williams of Little Rock on January 24.
Stiles – ranked 16th by FloWrestling and slated 18th by Intermat – has now won three consecutive bouts, which marks his longest winning streak of the campaign since opening 2024-25 with six-straight wins.
Following an upset of then-eighth-ranked Teague Travis of Oklahoma State, Stiles – competing at 157 - was recognized as the league's top wrestler.
The Chicago product is the first wrestler this season to win the Pac-12's award when competing at different weight classes.
Stiles and the Oregon State wrestling team will close the Pac-12 slate this season when they battle Cal Poly in a road dual on Friday night.
