Split Squad Opens Spring Season
March 06, 2025 | Women's Rowing
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's rowing will open its spring championship season on Saturday, sending boats to both the Husky Open in Seattle, Wash., and PLU Invitational in Tacoma, Wash.
Across the two events, OSU will compete in 10 different races, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday with the Women's Collegiate Varsity 8+ at the Husky Open and wrapping with the Women's Varsity 4+ against Pacific Lutheran and Oregon at 11:50 a.m. at the PLU Invite.
Entering the first spring under Head Coach Michael Eichler, Oregon State is coming off a successful fall season that featured a victory for the varsity eights at the Head of the Spokane and second place finishes for the 1V4+ crew both in Spokane and at the Head of the American.
After a 2024 season that ended with a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 Championships, Oregon State was picked to win the West Coast Conference in a poll voted on by the WCC coaches, announced on Feb. 27. As part of the same release, Giulia Clerici, Charlotte Lightfoot, Rhi Loughnan and Annelise Norkitis were named to the All-WCC Preseason Team.
OSU's next regatta will be at home, when the Beavers welcome Gonzaga and Portland to Dexter Reservoir in Lowell, Ore., on March 29.
