Beavers Take Third At Seattle Redhawk Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Three Oregon State men's golfers finished the final round at the Seattle Redhawk Invitational Tuesday as the Beavers finished third at the two-day event.

Brandon Eyre had a team-best 3-under 72 over the final round at Chambers Bay Golf Club. It marked his best round at the course and vaulted him into a final spot at 14^th with a 2-over 216.

All five of the Beavers golfing toward the team score finished in the top-20.

The Beavers took the third-place finish, just three shots off the title held by St. Thomas and UC Riverside. Oregon State's 9-under 279 on Tuesday gave the Beavers a final score of 3-over 859.

Collin Hodgkinson and Rylan Johnson tied for the team lead at 1-over 215. Hodgkinson also had his best round of the event, shooting a 3-under 619.

Johnson, meanwhile, finished the event with a 2-over 74 in the final 18.

The duo tied for ninth overall.

Stanley Lin and Bradley Smolinski each tied for 19^th. Lin shot a 3-under 69 on the final day to finish with a 4-over 218 for the event. Smolinski, meanwhile, finished with a 1-over 73 Tuesday.

Brody Marconi, competing as an individual, shot a 3-over 75 Tuesday and ended with a 15-over 229, placing him 78^th.

Hodgkinson and Eyre were one shy of the tournament lead with 12 birdies apiece. Johnson tallied 11, Lin finished with 10, Smolinski had nine and Marconi recorded seven.
