CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, the Oregon State Wrestling Team has announced the season's staff.
Two All-American Beaver alumni – Brandon Kaylor ('24) and Trey Munoz ('25) – have been added to Chris Pendleton's coaching staff while a fellow OSU grad, Cory Crooks ('22), has been elevated.
Kaylor enters his first year as an assistant on the staff with experience from four NCAA Championship appearances, an eighth-place finish in 2022 and a Pac-12 individual title – all at 125 lbs. Off the mat, the Bonney Lake, Washington, native was as focused in the classroom with multiple appearances on the National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) Scholar Athlete list.
A two-time All-American, including a third-place finish in 2024, Munoz also starts as a Student Assistant Coach. The Mission Viejo, California, native represented Oregon State at four NCAA Championships (with finishes at third and sixth) at two different weight classes – 184 and 197 – along with winning three consecutive Pac-12 titles. Munoz wrapped his decorated career being named the Pac-12's Scholar Athlete of the Year. Like Kaylor, he was twice named to the NWCA's Scholar Athlete List.
Munoz was the first Oregon State wrestler with consecutive All-American finishes since the 2018-19 season since Amar Dhesi achieved the feat.
Both Kaylor and Munoz played key roles in the team's 2022-23 Pac-12 Championship.
Oregon State will look to defend its 2024-25 Pac-12 Championship in the season ahead.
