Jesse Legree Named Pac-12 Freshman Of The Week For Seventh Straight Time

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State wide receiver Jesse Legree has been named the Pac-12 Conference's Freshman of the Week for the seventh time in 2026, the league announced on Monday.

Legree, from Baltimore, Md., now ties the most weekly honors ever by a Pac-12 player, joining Bo Nix (2022-23), Joshua Karty (2022-23) and Zane Gonzalez (2013-16). Legree surpassed Oregon State's record of six set by Alexis Serna from 2004-07.

Legree takes the week seven honor after catching eight passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the Beavers' 48-30 win over Washington State on Saturday. One of the touchdowns came on a 90-yard catch from Braden Atkinson. It marked just the sixth reception of 90 or more yards in Oregon State history.

The freshman also extended his Oregon State record for consecutive 100-yard efforts to seven and he became the first wide receiver in the nation with over 1,000 yards. He enters OSU's week eight game at Fresno State with 1,040, which ties Sammie Stroughter for 10^th in a single-season at Oregon State.

Legree is also within striking distance of Brandin Cooks' OSU record 16 touchdowns in 2013. Legree has 14.
