Beavers Close Out Home Slate with Senior Day

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State wrapped up its final home meet of the season in Corvallis with a strong showing at the OSU High Performance Meet. The Beavers honored 10 seniors who are wrapping up their time as student-athletes.
Friday action saw immediate success in the throws, as Bea Pettersson placed second in the hammer throw with a 54.77m/179-08, while Katie Gelston delivered a standout performance in the discus, winning the event with a 54.53m/178-11 personal best that moved her to No. 2 all-time at Oregon State.
In the pole vault, Mia Fowler led the Beavers with a second-place finish at 3.80m/12-5.5, while Carley Strand added a personal best of 3.35m/10-11.75 to move into OSU's all-time top 10.
On the track, Megan Hatcher highlighted the day with a dominant win in the 400m hurdles, clocking a personal-best 59.54 to move to No. 3 in program history. Riley Patera followed with a win in the 200 meters, running 24.14 to improve to No. 5 all-time at OSU, while Callie Brandes also cracked the top 10 with a 24.58.
Distance events saw Delaney Ulrich take second in the steeplechase at 10:48.47, and Payton Smith and Reese Morkert each recorded personal bests in the 5,000 meters.
Saturday continued the momentum, beginning in the field with a sweep of the top three spots in the high jump. Callie Brandes led the way with a personal-best clearance of 1.62m/5-3.75, followed by Kyra Bakke and Lexi Hunt matching the same height. Bea Pettersson added another victory in the shot put, throwing a personal-best 15.23m/49-11.75 to improve her standing to No. 4 all-time at OSU.
The Beavers' sprint group delivered multiple highlights, including a win in the 4x100m relay as Hatcher, Brandes, Audrey Biggerstaff, and Patera combined for a 46.57, ranking No. 8 in program history. Hatcher also claimed the 100m hurdles title with a personal-best 14.16, moving to No. 8 all-time at OSU.
Jillian Brown took third in the invite 800 meters with a season-best 2:05.93, while Maella Hodgson led the open section with a runner-up finish. Ruby Lorenz added a personal best in the event, and several Beavers posted strong marks across both sections.
The meet concluded with solid performances in the 100 meters, where Brandes ran 12.07 to rank No. 9 all-time at OSU, and Patera followed closely at 12.10.
