Dax Whitney, Albert Roblez Earn ABCA All-Region Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State right-handed pitchers Dax Whitney and Albert Roblez have been named All-West Region selections by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), it was announced Tuesday.
Whitney is a first-team selection while Roblez is a second-teamer. Whitney is now eligible to be selected as an ABCA All-American.
Whitney, from Blackfoot, Idaho, finished the season with a 6-1 record and 2.00 earned run average. He started 11 games, striking out 104 over 63 innings. He held opponents to 42 hits and .185 batting average while posting a 0.95 WHIP.
Roblez, from Moreno Valley, Calif., finished with 14 saves and a 2-1 record in 24 appearances. He finished with a 1.50 ERA, and held opponents to a .173 batting average while striking out 53 in 30 innings.
