Braden Atkinson, Jesse Legree Earn Pac-12 Weekly Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State quarterback Braden Atkinson and wide receiver Jesse Legree were recognized by the Pac-12 Conference on Monday. Atkinson was selected as the Offensive Player Of The Week and Legree was named the Freshman Of The Week.

Legree's selection is his third straight, and he's the first Freshman to earn the honor over a three-game stretch since Utah's Ty Jordan in 2020.

Legree tallied 100 yards receiving in the Beavers' 52-17 win over Montana Saturday night. He's at a nation's-best 476 yards on the season, and has hit the 100-yard plateau in three straight, the first Beaver to do since Brandin Cooks in 2013. Legree is aiming to join Mike Hass as the only two Beavers ever to go four straight.

Atkinson, meanwhile, has earned his first Pac-12 honor, doing so after throwing for 333 yards and five scores in the win. He also rushed for a 1-yard score, becoming just the fifth player in program history to account for six touchdowns in the same game.

The Raleigh, N.C., native is the first Beaver quarterback since Sean Mannion in 2013 to go over 1,000 yards passing in the first three games of a season. He enters the game at UTEP with 1,122 on the year, second in the nation. He's also first averaging 374 yards per game.

Legree, Atkinson and the Beavers head to El Paso Saturday for a 6 p.m. PT (7 p.m. local time) matchup at UTEP. The game will be available on MW+ and the Beavers Sports Radio Network.
