George Frazier is in his first season with Oregon State as assistant edges coach. He joined the Beavers after previous stops at East Mississippi Community College, Florida International, UT Martin, Memphis and Ole Miss.
Frazier played tight end and defensive end at Colorado, where he was a three-time team captain and, as a fifth-year senior, became the Buffaloes’ first two-way player since 1964, logging significant snaps on offense, defense and special teams. He earned the Daniel Graham Award for Most Improved Big Skill Player, the Eddie Crowder Award for Outstanding Team Leadership, the Dick Anderson Award for Outstanding Toughness and the Jim Hansen Award for Outstanding Academics. He graduated from Colorado in December 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in ethnic studies and a master’s in educational foundations, policy and practice, earning Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention as a senior.
A native of West Covina, Calif., Frazier is the son of George Frazier IV, who played safety at Fresno State, and the nephew of Damon Griffin, a wide receiver at Oregon who went on to a three-season NFL career with San Francisco, Cincinnati and St. Louis.
