Jon Maricic is in his first season with Oregon State as an offensive graduate assistant. He joined the Beavers after previous stops at Eastern Washington, UC Davis, Black Hills State, Mt. San Antonio College and the College of Idaho.
Maricic played running back at UC Davis under head coach Bob Biggs. He appeared in five games during the 2011 season, rushing 12 times for 66 yards, and was on the roster in 2012 but did not see game action. He graduated from UC Davis with a degree in psychology.
A native of Wildomar, Calif., Maricic starred at Elsinore High School. As a senior in 2010, he was named first-team All-Sunbelt League after rushing for 1,127 yards and nine touchdowns in just six games, adding All-Southern Section, all-valley and team MVP honors along with Prep Star Magazine Player of the Month. As a junior he was also all-league, all-valley and team MVP, rushing for 1,241 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he posted 476 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore.
