Alex Suprise joined the Beavers in the spring of 2025 after spending the prior four seasons at St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies won six games in each of the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Suprise spent the pandemic 2020 fall season at Medaille College in Buffalo, N.Y. working with the men's soccer program. He assisted with the program's international and domestic recruitment efforts, worked with all facets of the team's administration, and on-field training. He joined the Bonnies as a volunteer assistant for the spring 2021 campaign.
Prior to Medaille College, Suprise spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons as the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. In the two seasons he spent in New England, the program recorded two record winning seasons and consecutive trips to the conference tournament. The program also registered four All-Conference selections; Suprise personally mentored All-Conference second-team player, Cole Houghton.
While at Nichols, Suprise assisted and advised with all aspects of the men's soccer program. He directly assisted the head coach with recruiting, on-field instruction, team travel and administration, scouting, film review, and the individual development of the men's soccer players.

His club soccer experience extends from his hometown soccer club when he started coaching in high school. Suprise currently coaches at Western New York Flash Soccer Academy in the Buffalo, N.Y. metropolitan and works within the boy's program. While in New England, he coached with Global Premier Soccer and FC USA. He also coached at Virginia Rush Soccer Club while competing in college.
Suprise graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University in 2018 with two degrees in Business and Recreation & Leisure Studies. In his four years at Virginia Wesleyan, he played in 54 games as a defender and recorded one goal and 10 assists.
